About Herbal Ghee

According to research carried out in 2010 by the Ohio State University, ghee was known to increase triglyceride levels but not the lipid peroxidation processes which are actually linked to cardiovascular issues. Hence, the common myth that consuming ghee puts you at risk of heart diseases was proven faulty.

Ayurvedic or Herbal Ghee is made from boiling butter or cream to remove the water content. It is then filtered to remove any precipitated milk solids. The herbs are infused into this ghee to create various types of herbal ghee which provide various kinds of uses. Due to its negligible water content, it becomes an excellent Anupana (vehicle) to carry the herbs to the deeper tissue layers of the body. It has been known to help maintain the three Doshas as well as support the digestive fire (Agni).
